Nick Foles traded after finessing the Jaguars: Fantasy Impact

Updated: Mar 19, 2020

According to reports, the Jacksonville Jaguars have traded QB Nick Foles to the Chicago Bears for a compensatory 4th round pick.

Fantasy Impact

As far as the Jaguars are concerned, not much changes. Nick Foles only played 4 games last season due to injury/bad performance and he went 0-4. The growing sentiment was that Gardner Minshew would be the starter. The Jaguars seem to be in a rebuilding mode, letting go off all pretty much every one who was responsible for the 2017 run they made to the AFC championship game. The good news for Gardner Minshew and his fantasy owners is that the jags will be trailing a lot, so there will be plenty of fantasy points to be had.

Foles going to Chicago means that we are about to witness one of the worst QB battles in recent memory. I would expect Foles to win the job, but whoever ends up starting week one for the Bears should not be drafted. Allen Robinson’s value won’t be affected by who wins the job, and he remains a mid-level WR2.
