Week 5 Waiver Wire Report

Week 4 is finally over! None of those points will carry over to week 5, so it’s time to find the guys who will score you points in week 4. These are my favorite players to target.

(Based on players who are owned in 67% or less of Yahoo fantasy leagues)

Teams on BYE – Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins

QB

Jacoby Brissett (35%) – IND vs Chiefs

Jacoby Brissett has filled in admirably for Andrew Luck. He has thrown at least 2 TD passes in every week so far this season. He gets the Chiefs this week, so they will need to put up points. Their defense is banged up and Marlon Mack is suffering from an ankle injury. Brissett is a great streaming option this week.

Chase Daniel (0%) – CHI vs Raiders

Kirk Cousins (43%) – MIN vs Giants

Jimmy Garoppolo (56%) – SF vs Browns

Andy Dalton (36%) – CIN vs Cardinals

RB

Nyhiem Hines (19%) – IND vs Chiefs

Marlon Mack reportedly suffered an ankle injury in week 4. The severity of the injury has yet to be announced, however so Mack honors have to prepare for the worst. Nyhiem Hines played his most snaps so far this season, and would be the biggest beneficiary if Mack misses time. The Colts play against the Chiefs in week 5, so they could be playing from behind. Expect Hines to get a fair share of targets if he has to start.

Frank Gore (58%) – BUF vs Tennessee

Frank Gore has defied the odds by continuing to be very effective at the age of 35, and its about time we accept the fact that he isn’t going away. He has averaged 17 carries a game since week 2, and has scored at least 10.9 Fantasy points in every game during that time. He is a great bye week fill in if he’s available and you are missing Kerryon Johnson this week.

Jordan Howard (56%) – PHI vs Jets

Jordan Wilkins (2%) – IND vs Chiefs

Ronald Jones (44%) - TB vs Saints

WR

Geronimo Allison – (24%) GB vs Cowboys

Davante Adams is expected to miss some time with his toe injury, so there are plenty of targets up for grabs. Geronimo Allison had is first double digit scoring game of the season in week 4, while playing 79% of the snaps. The Packers play against the Cowboys in week 5, so the game is expected to be high scoring which bodes well for all the Packers pass catchers.

Courtland Sutton (55%) – DEN vs Chargers

Courtland Sutton has finally become the WR everyone was expecting in his rookie year. He has gotten at least 7 targets in every game this season, so the volume is there for him. The Broncos face the Chargers the week, and with Casey Hayward likely to shadow Emmanuel Sanders, Sutton should be able to continue getting the volume and production.

Golden Tate (49%) - NYG vs Vikings

Auden Tate (0%) - CIN vs Cardinals

A.J. Brown (10%) - TEN vs Bills

TE

Jimmy Graham (36%) – GB vs Cowboys

Similar to Geronimo Allison, Jimmy Graham benefits from Davante Adams’ absence. He had a season high in targets, catches, and yards in week 4. All T.J. Hockenson owners should be looking for Graham to fill in while he is on bye.

Trey Burton (34%) – CHI vs Raiders

Jack Doyle (20%) – IND vs Chiefs

D/ST

Buffalo Bills (52%) – vs Titans

The Bills proved how formidable they are by holding the Patriots to 16 points in week 4, with none of the coming from the offense. They get to face Marcus Mariota in week 5, who has struggled this year. They also get to face the Dolphins in week 7 after their bye, if you have the roster real estate to hold them through week 6.

Philadelphia Eagles (38%) – vs Jets

Carolina Panthers (15%) – vs Jaguars
