2020 NFL Draft Fantasy Grades: NFC West

The 2020 NFL draft is finally completed. Some teams made some very relevant moves in terms of fantasy football. Some others left everyone scratching their head (Yes, we are talking about you, Green Bay Packers) as they did nothing to improve their own chances at winning. I will be giving a division by division breakdown of each team’s fantasy relevant draft picks and how it will impact them in the upcoming fantasy season.

Arizona CardinalsB

Notable Draft Picks

OT Josh Jones

WR Deandre Hopkins (via trade)

The Cardinals had arguably the best “pick” of the draft, by acquiring All Pro WR Deandre Hopkins from the Texans for a 2nd round pick. His presence elevates QB Kyler Murray firmly in the top 5 QB territory. The Cardinals added T Josh Jones to help bolster their offensive line.

Los Angeles RamsB+

Notable Draft Picks

RB Cam Akers

WR Van Jefferson

TE Brycen Hopkins

I love what the Rams did in the draft. They were able to fill the void left by Todd Gurley with RB Cam Akers out of Florida State. They were able to fill the void left by Brandin Cooks with WR Van Jefferson out of Florida, who is a great route runner. Both players should play roles in the Rams’s offense this year.

San Francisco 49ersB

Notable Draft Picks

WR Brandon Aiyuk

OT Trent Williams (via trade)

Similar to the Cardinals, the 49ers best draft “pick” was acquiring All-Pro Tackle Trent Williams for the Washington Redskins for a 5th and a future 3rd. He will plug right in to replace T Joe Staley who abruptly retired. WR Brandon Aiyuk out of Arizona State will immediately complete for a starting position after the departure of Emmanuel Sanders.

Seattle SeahawksB

Notable Draft Picks

G Damien Lewis

TE Colby Parkinson

RB Deejay Davis

The Seattle Seahawks went pretty Defense heavy, but they were able to pick up a few skill players. TE Colby Parkinson will be a nice receiving option for Russell Wilson. RB Deejay Davis out of Miami will get a fair shot to compete for carries, given the lack of ability for both Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny to stay healthy.
