Well, that was quick. The Raiders have officially released Antonio Brown. Where is his next destination? I take a look at three intriguing places from a fantasy football perspective.
New England Patriots
This is the most obvious spot. Patriots have a huge void to fill with the Gronk retirement this off-season. The sentiment will be that the Bill Belichick and the Patriots have a way of taming perceived distractions. Tom Brady would immediately be a top 6 QB. The last time a Hall of Fame caliber WR wound up in New England after leaving the Raiders, the Patriots went 16-0. Will this be the sequel?
Seattle Seahawks
With Doug Baldwin retiring, the Seahawks could use a veteran presence at WR alongside Tyler Lockett. Pete Carroll's free-spirited coaching style would mesh well with Brown. Russell Wilson would appreciate the help as well. Adding an elite receiving threat would also help open lanes their already dominate running game. Make it happen, Pete!
New Orleans Saints
As you can see, the theme here is a veteran QB and head coach. The Saints have a pretty concentrated passing game with Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara taking the majority of targets. Adding Brown would make defenses tremble at the thought of choosing which side of the field to shade the safety towards. Drew Brees owner's would be in heaven.
