According to reports, Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger will undergo season-ending elbow surgery.
Fantasy Impact
Ouch. Anytime you lose a Hall of Fame Caliber QB, it hurts. This, obviously, hurts all the skill position weapons for the Steelers. Mason Rudolph will take over for the time being. He is no better than a low-end QB2, and should only be considered in 2QB/Superflex leagues. Juju Smith-Schuster goes to a mid-range WR2 as long as he can get the drops under control. The volume will still be there for him given how need the defense is. Back-up QBs tend to lean on TEs more, so this will be a slight boost for Vance McDonald. If you are still rostering Donte Moncrief, get your life together and drop him. Conner is also hurt, but assuming he's fine, he may see more volume, and still remains a solid RB1.
