Carlos Hyde signs with Seahawks

Free Agent RB Carlos Hyde, who ran for 1,000 yards with the Texans in 2019, has signed with the Seattle Seahawks.

At first glance, this signing may seem like a blow to Chris Carson's value, but I believe this says more about the health of Rashaad Penny's health than anything. Carlos Hyde will assume the Rashaad Penny role and take over the majority of the pass catching duties. Chris Carson is still worth being drafted as a mid-level to low-end RB2. Carlos Hyde is no higher than a RB4, and is more valuable to the Chris Carson owner as a handcuff.
