Derrius Guice has surgery; out 6-8 weeks
Washington Redskins RB Derrius Guice had surgery on his meniscus Thursday. He is expected to be out 6-8 weeks.
Knee injuries have plagued Derrius in his short NFL career. Owners who drafted Adrian Peterson and kept him despite being a healthy scratch in week 1 have stumbled into an low end RB2 for the next couple of months, so congrats. Chris Thompson also gets a big boost in playing time and remains a RB2 in PPR leagues. Deep league owners can also take a stab at rostering rookie RB Bryce Love as a lottery ticket.
Stash Derrius Guice in your I.R. spot if that option is available to you. Otherwise, he can be dropped for more viable options.
