Fantasy Wishlist for Every Team – AFC West

No NFL team is perfect, and every team can improve in some form or fashion. Here is my top want for every NFL team prior to the 2023 NFL Fantasy Season.

Denver BroncosLet Russ Cook!

Few teams have the firepower of the current Denver Broncos roster. The receiving corps of Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick, and Greg Dulcich is one of the best in the NFL, and once Javonte Williams gets healthy, Denver will be fully loaded and ready to make everyone completely forget about their abysmal 2022 season. I’m under the belief that Nathaniel Hackett was the main reason for Denver’s struggles, and now he is being replaced by Sean Payton. If Russ can stay healthy, and gets at least 600 pass attempts this year, he will be a strong candidate for Fantasy Comeback player of the year.

Kansas City ChiefsTrade for Austin Ekeler!

It appears that the Chargers and Austin Ekeler won’t be reaching an agreement on a new deal, so why not send one of the most versatile RBs in the league to the best offense in the league? He provides the pass catching ability of Jerick McKinnon combined with a superior ability to run between the tackles and score TDs. This would infuriate the Isiah Pacheco fans, but I don’t care. I’m all about chaos and Kansas City acquiring a true lead RB would create just that, and it would make up for the Chiefs drafting Clyde Edwards-Helaire over Jonathan Taylor 3 years ago. That still baffles me.

Las Vegas RaidersGo get Aaron Rodgers!

The consensus is that Aaron Rodgers will be a New York Jet but the NFL Draft, but on the off chance that deal falls through, Las Vegas is an intriguing landing spot for the future Hall of Famer. He will reunite with Davante Adams, who Rodgers needs more than Davante needs Rodgers to be fantasy relevant. The Raiders have a good WR trio with Jakobi Meyers and Hunter Renfrow to compliment Adams. The Jets don’t deserve the talent of Aaron Rodgers!

Los Angeles ChargersTrade for Derrick Henry!

If the Chargers do decide to move on from Austin Ekeler, Derrick Henry would be an interesting option to replace him, as he would be with most teams. The Chargers are clearly leaning on the arm of Justin Herbert to carry them where they want to go, and that lead them to blowing a 27-point lead to the Jaguars in the playoffs last season. Having a bruiser like Derrick Henry to lean on late in the season will take pressure off Herbert and allow the Chargers to not blow as many leads, which is what they have been known for this past decade.
