In the first of inevitably many horrific injuries to come in the 2022 season, Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick suffered a torn ACL in practice on Tuesday and will miss the 2022 season.
This news is brutal, and we wish him a speedy recovery. Tim Patrick was set to be an integral part of the new look Broncos offense. The natural take would be to bump up K.J. Hamler to the #3 WR spot in Denver, but he is also coming off of his own significant knee injury suffered last year. I believe that the biggest boost will be for Tight End Elbert Okwuegbunam. There have been rumors that rookie TE Greg Dulcich would eventually take over the starting TE role, thus killing the value of Albert O. The Patrick news opens up room for both Broncos TEs to get plenty of usage as well as giving a slight bump to Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton.
