Pump or Dump 2021 – New Orleans Saints

Draft Season is here! Bestball Leagues are flowing! The NFL Preseason is upon us. DraftHustle is here to get you ready to dominate your drafts and get to the money and the trophies! This is part of a series I am titling "Pump, Stump and Dump". From each team, I will be choosing one player I am high on (Pump), and one player I am avoiding in fantasy drafts for the 2021 season (Dump). You can check out my rankings here!

PUMP – Adam Trautman, TE

NFFC ADP – TE16 (#138 Overall)

NDL Rank – TE12

With Michael Thomas going down, the Saints being in need of receiving weapons in an understatement. Jameis Winston by all accounts looks to start the season, and he has a tendency to favor passing to the TE, which bodes well for Trautman. He is taking over the starting TE position and is a prime candidate to become a top 6 TE with the workload he is set to receive.

DUMP – Michael Thomas, WR

NFFC10 ADP – WR32 (#76 Overall)

NDL Rank – WR 51

Michael Thomas may have a pulled a Scottie Pippen on the Saints by delaying his surgery, or the Saints may have convinced Michael Thomas to delay his surgery in order to help Drew Brees chase a Superbowl in his final season. Either way, Michael Thomas is currently recovering from ankle surgery and is set to return sometime around mid-season. He should not be getting drafted as a WR3, and he most certainly should not have a 7th round ADP. Avoid him as long as he stays at this price.
