Pump or Dump 2021 – Seattle Seahawks

Draft Season is here! Bestball Leagues are flowing! The NFL Preseason is upon us. DraftHustle is here to get you ready to dominate your drafts and get to the money and the trophies! This is part of a series I am titling "Pump & Dump". From each team, I will be choosing one player I am high on (Pump), and one player I am avoiding in fantasy drafts for the 2021 season (Dump). You can check out my rankings here!

PUMP – Gerald Everett, TE

NFFC ADP – TE19 (#163 Overall)

NDL Rank – TE16

The Seattle Seahawks TEs have averaged 113.5 targets over the last 2 seasons. They gave Gerald Everett a 1 year, $6 million deal, so the hope is the Seahawks use him a decent amount. Russell Wilson is a perennial top 6 QB, so an athletic TE that is being drafted in the 14th round attached to him is very tempting. If you choose to pass on one of the big 6 TEs early on, I highly recommend waiting to snag Everett in one of your last three rounds.

DUMP – N/A

NFFC10 ADP – N/A

NDL Rank – N/A

I actually like the value that all of the Seahawks skill players are currently being drafted at. D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett being drafted in the 2nd and 4th round respectively are great values to me. Russell Wilson has a great mix and safety and weekly upside, and him going in the 6th round makes it reasonable and easy to stack if you draft one of his WR weapons in the earlier rounds. Chris Carson has finished top 13 in PPG the last 2 seasons, but is currently going as a mid-level RB2. If he gets a boost in receiving work, he could easily become a top 10 RB.
