Travis Etienne suffers foot injury; Out Indefinitely

According to reports, Jacksonville Jaguars Rookie RB Travis Etienne is out indefinitely after suffering a mid foot in the Jaguars week 2 preseason game. He is reportedly having surgery and could miss the entire 2021 season.

Fantasy Insight

This is a tough blow for the Jaguars under 1st year coach Urban Meyer. Etienne was set to have a sizable role for the Jaguars, and now he will more than likely miss his entire rookie season. He was being drafted in the 4th round of drafts as a RB2, which I felt was too high to begin with.

James Robinson obviously gets a huge boost in value from this situation. He is currently being drafted in the late 5th round of NFC drafts. I expect that to shoot up to at least the 4th round where Etienne was gettting drafted and possibly higher. Drafthustle has moved Robinson up to RB17, and I would take him as high as the 4th round as a mid level RB2. You can find our updated rankings and tiers here.
