QB
Lamar Jackson – BAL ($8,200) vs Jaguars
Since scoring back-to-back 40-point games in weeks 2 & 3, Lamar Jackson hasn’t scored for than 21 Fanduel points in a game. In week 12 he gets a weak Jacksonville Jaguar defense, who are allowing QBs to score the second most fantasy PPG over their average in the last 5 weeks. Despite a lack of passing weapons, Lamar’s rushing ability gives him top 5 upside weekly. His recent mediocre performances will keep his ownership low, making him a strong contrarian play in GPPs.
RB
Derrick Henry – TEN ($9,500) vs Bengals
Derrick Henry is currently leading the league in carries and rushing yards per game, so he is normally a better cash game play than a tourney play. The difference this week is his projected ownership coming in at less than 10%, mainly because there are a handful of back up RBs getting starts on this week 12 slate, meaning most DFS players will be paying down at RB. On paper, the Bengals are a middling matchup for RBS, only driving more people away from using King Henry. If you decide to go against the norm in GPPs and pay up at RB, Derrick Henry is a great option.
WR
Christian Kirk – WR ($7,700) vs Ravens
Christian Kirk was the butt of every joke this off season when he signed his new deal with Jacksonville, but he has gotten the last laugh with how well he has performed. Over his last 2 games, he has averaged 10.5 targets, 8.5 catches, 90.5 yards, and has scored 3 TDs. In week 12, he faces a Ravens secondary, that has been better as of late, but still gives up the 7th most receiving yards per game and 6th most Fanduel PPG to WRs. With currently 3% expected ownership, Christian Kirk is an ideal GPP play in all DFS formats.
TE
Gerald Everett –LAC ($5,200) vs Cardinals
Every week, I go straight to the Cardinals schedule to find my Tournament TE play, and Gerald Everett is the guy in week 12. I love his value with his $5,200 price tag. The Cardinals give up 10 more yards per game than the 2nd worst team to TEs and allow 10 more receiving yards per game than te 2nd worse team to TEs. The Chargers will be without Mike Williams this week, so Gerald Everett will get a solid share of targets in the game that currently has the highest Vegas O/U on the main Fanduel slate at 49 points.
D/ST
Miami Dolphins – (4,400) vs Houston Texans
The Miami Dolphins have been decent all season, but they get a dream matchup against the Houston Texans in week 12. Kyle Allen will be getting his first start since 2020, and I expect him to play that way. The Houston Texans are allowing the 5th most fantasy points to D/STs while also allowing them to score the most points above their average over the last 5 weeks. The Dolphins are a little more expensive than I typically care to pay up for, but the matchup certainly justifies it.
