Week 18 DFS Fanduel Tournament Plays

QB

Aaron Rodgers – GB ($7,100) vs Lions

Aaron Rodgers is having statistically the worst season of his career, and yet I love him in week 18 as a GPP play. He faces the Detroit Lions, who are currently the best fantasy matchup for QBs. The Packers are in a must win situation and will need Rodgers to put up numbers to do so. A-Rod looked pathetic against Detroit in their first matchup this year, and he will look to redeem himself at home. At only $7,100, he allows you to fit other studs into your lineup, and he has plenty of cheap options to stack with.

RB

Zack Moss – IND ($6,800) vs Texans

Zack Moss has taken over as leader of the Colts backfield since Johnathan Taylor went down for the year. He has averaged 17 carries a game over the last 3 weeks. He also gets to face the best fantasy matchup for RBs in the Houston Texans, this week. The Texans clinch the #1 pick with a loss, so they have little incentive to put up any resistance in this game. Zack Moss has not scored a touchdown this season, but in this matchup, I expect him to get at least one TD to close out the year.

WR

Christian Watson – GB ($6,900) vs Lions

Christian Watson came into week 17 with a hip issue that he was able to play through, and that gives me hope that he will be closer to 100% in week 18. Watson gets a dream matchup in the Detroit Lions, who rank in the bottom 3 of the league of Fanduel PPG allowed, receiving yards allowed, and yards per target allowed to WRs. He has the upside to score multiple TDs, as he has done a few times this year. As long as he suits up, Watson is a great GPP play this week.

TE

Tyler Higbee –LAR ($5,600) vs Seahawks

Tyler Higbee is the GPP TE of the week in large part thanks to his matchup, the Seattle Seahawks. They have been the best matchup for TEs and we just saw them give up 6 catches and 80 yards to Tyler Conklin. Higbee has the upside to put up a monster game, as we saw on Christmas Day when he caught 9 passes for 84 yards and 2 TDS. Even if he only does half of that, he will be a great GPP play in week 18.

D/ST

Minnesota Vikings – ($4,000) vs Chicago Bears

Minnesota’s defense has been terrible all year, but in week 18, they finally have a chance to not be. They face the Chicago Bears, who will be starting Nate Peterman, and he is not good. He has played in 12 games and has thrown 13 INTs in those games. The Bears have allowed at least 13 points to opposing D/STs over the last 5 weeks, and that will certainly continue this week. At $4,000, they are more than affordable this week.
