DraftHustle’s Top Fanduel Tournament Plays of the week
QB
Ben Roethlisberger – PIT ($7,200) vs Raiders
Big Ben looked average in week 1, but that was against a tough Buffalo defense. The Raiders secondary is not tough. Pittsburgh has the 6th highest implied Vegas total (26.75) on the main Fanduel slate. This means that Ben will not be highly owned, and he has the weapons to put up a 3+ TD game and break the slate wide open. The biggest challenge will be choosing which WRs to stack him with.
RB
Ezekiel Elliott – DAL ($7,500) vs Chargers
Ezekiel Elliott was disappointing against the Bucs in the season opener, but that was expected as the Bucs have a top run defense. He faces the Chargers in week 2 who gave up 90 rushing yards to Antonio Gibson in week 1. Zach Martin is returning to the Cowboys offensive line after missing week 1, which will help Zeke. Expect low ownership with the possibility of a big return in week 2 for Zeke.
WR
Mike Evans – TB ($6,700) vs Falcons
Mike Evans was the odd man out in the Bucs week 1 game against Dallas. I do not believe that was an indication of how his season will go. Brady will look to get Evans more involved in week 2, and the Falcons are a perfect secondary to get Evans back on track. The $300 savings you get on Antonio Brown will draw more people to him, making Evans a strong contrarian play.
TE
George Kittle – SF ($6,700) vs Eagles
George Kittle had a solid game in week 1, but the lack of a touchdown made it not worth his $7,00 price tag. This week, the 49ers face the Eagles and will in a much more competitive game, meaning more than just 5 targets for Kittle. Expect Waller to be twice as owned coming off of his stellar Monday night game, making Kittle a nice contrarian play with plenty of upside.
D/ST
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – ($4,500) vs Falcons
The Falcon offense looked putrid in week 1 against, and they face a much better defense in week 2. The Falcons have the 3rd lowest implied Vegas total (19.25), and the Bucs are favored by twice as much as any other favorite. The Bucs will build and early lead, forcing the Falcons to pass and will lead to plenty of sacks and turnover opportunities.
