Week 3 Cash Lineup Review

An important part of improving a process is reviewing that process. Every week, we will be taking a took at the Fanduel cash lineup and see what we got right, what we got wrong, and we can improve to get to the money.

*Full disclosure* - I was at the Jaguars/Cardinals game, so I wasn't able to update the lineup on the website to what I used on Fanduel.

Cash Lineup Projection – 143.74

Cash Lineup Actual – 143.18

QB

Lamar Jackson, $8,400 – 20.28 FD Points

Lamar was the QB of chose for DraftHustle this week. He was in a smash spot against the Lions. Marquise Brown had a few drops that could have led to a historic week for both him and Lamar, but Lamar was able to get to 2x value.

RB

Austin Ekeler, $7,000 – 19.7 FD Points, Saquon Barkley, $6,000 – 18.4 FD Points

Austin Ekeler came through in a great matchup. He totaled 100 yards against a weak Chiefs run defense, he and was able to get a TD reception. Saquon Barkley was at a price that was too good to ignore. He was able to total 97 yards while getting a rushing TD to boost him to 3x value.

WR

DK Metcalf, $7,200 – 19.7 FD Points, Marquise Brown, $6,600 – 6.8 FD Points, Robert Woods, $6,100 – 5.3 FD Points

DK Metcalf was primed for a bounce back and he showed out in week 3, putting up a 6/107/1 stat line. It came at the detriment of Tyler Lockett, but that’s the chance you take drafting Seahawks WRs. Marquise Brown only had 3 catches for 53 yards, but he had 3 big drops that could have given him a huge day. He is big play guy, so that comes with the territory. Robert Woods was poised for a bounce back, but unlike Metcalf, he did not have a great game. Cooper Kupp has the juice in LA right now, and eventually Robert Woods will get back on track. Good luck figuring out when that will be.

TE

Travis Kelce, $8,500 – 13.9 FD points

Travis Kelce has proven to be matchup proof. He had his typical 7 catch, 100 yard game, but the lack of TD kept him from hitting 2x value. He remains a DFS staple no matter what the price.

FLEX

Alexander Mattison, $5,200 – 20.1 FD points

Once Dalvin Cook was assumed to be out, Alexander Mattison became the free square of the slate, and he didn’t disappoint. He put up 112 rushing yards and 59 receiving yards, to go along with 6 catches and got close to 4x value.

D/ST

Denver Broncos, $5,000 – 19 FD Points

The Denver Broncos were the highest priced D/ST on the slate and for good reason. The Jets are horrendous and that’s exactly how they played in week 3. The Broncos shut out the Jets, racking up 5 sacks and 2 INTs.
