Week 3 DFS Fanduel Tournament Plays

DraftHustle’s Top Fanduel Tournament Game Plays of the Week!

QB

Kirk Cousins– MIN (7,600) vs Lions

Kirk Cousins had his typical Primetime game dud in week 2, but he has a chance to redeem himself in week 3 against the Lions. This game is currently tied for the highest Vegas O/U (52.5 and the Vikings are tied with the Bills for the highest Vegas Implied Team Total (28.25) so points are expected to be scored. With most of the world focusing on the Josh Allen and Tua Tagovailoa in the Bills Dolphins matchup, Kirk Cousins becomes a great contrarian option to consider on the Week 3 slate.

RB

Derrick Henry – TEN ($8,800) vs Raiders

Derrick Henry is off to a slow start this year, having only averaged 53.5 rush yards per game this season. He gets a decent matchup in week 3 against the Raiders who give up 93 rushing yards per game. I expect the Titans to try and establish Henry early in the matchup as he is the key to them getting their first win of the season. His ability to score multiple TDs in any game and lackluster start to the year will keep his ownership low, making him a solid GPP option.

WR

Davante Adams – LV ($8,700) vs Titans

Recency bias runs rampart in DFS, and we will use that to our advantage this week. Davante Adams is coming off a 2-catch game in week 2, which will certainly not happen again. The Raiders face a Titans secondary who give up the most yards per target to WRs, and rank bottom 5 in Receiving yards allowed, TD% allowed, and catch rate allowed to WRs. Hunter Renfrow is also, so expect Derek Carr to target his best friend early and often in this matchup.

TE

Kyle Pitts – ATL ($5,600) vs Seahawks

Kyle Pitts has not lived up to the 3rd round price tag in fantasy drafts so far, but he has a chance to redeem himself this week. The Falcons face the Seahawks who have given big plays to TEs like Andrew Beck and Ross Dwelley this season, so Pitts has a chance to duplicate that. There won’t be many chances to roster Kyle Pitts at $5,600 very often in his career, so we will take advantage this week and bank on him breaking out of his slump.

D/ST

Houston Texans – ($3,800) vs Chicago Bears

The Houston Texans’ defense has looked better than expected against 2 offenses in Denver and Indianapolis that were expected to be above average coming into the season. They face a Chicago Bears offense that has looked like one of the worst units in recent memory. At $3,800 the Texans are cheap enough to fit into any build and will have plenty of chances to rack up sacks against the 32nd ranked offense in the league. They are a nice pivot from the Cincinnati Bengals, who will be much higher owned this week.
