An important part of improving a process is reviewing that process. Every week, we will be taking a look at the Fanduel cash lineup and see what we got right, what we got wrong, and we can improve to get to the money.
Cash Lineup Projection – 145.93
Cash Lineup Actual – 74.82
QB
Josh Allen, $8,500 – 21.02 FD Points
Josh Allen’s matchup was too good to be true, and that should have been a sign to fade him. The Bills kicked way too many FGS in the redzone, killing Allen’s upside. He will bounce back vs the Chiefs in week 5.
RB
Aaron Jones, $7,400 – 9.4 FD Points
Chuba Hubbard, $6,300 – 8.1 FD Points
Aaron Jones had decent matchup against Pittsburgh, but he had a subpar performance. Not scoring and AJ Dillon’s workload hurt Jones, on top of losing a fumble.
Chuba Hubbard was a big disappointment. Sam Darnold vulture 2 rushing TDs from Hubbard.
WR
Davante Adams, $8,100 – 9.4 FD Points
Calvin Ridley, $7,200 – 11.5 FD Points
Jaylen Waddle, $5,400 – 4.8 FD Points
Davante Adams had subpar game for his standards. Randall Cobb scored 2 TDs in week 4, while Adams had none. Go figure.
Calvin Ridley had the most targets he’s had in 2021 with 13, and put a solid 80 yards, but Cordarrelle Patterson got the TDs. Ridley will eventually get it going.
Jaylen Waddle was in a prime matchup but didn’t produce. Jacoby Brissett is holding back the offense.
TE
Travis Kelce, $8,200 – 4.3 FD points
This was a rare poor performance for Travis Kelce. Tyreek Hill had the hot hand scoring 3 TDs, and Kelce took a back seat. Kelce will be fine.
FLEX
Myles Gaskin, $5,400 – 0.3 FD points
Not sure what happened with Gaskin. He only received 2 carries and had no catches. Please come back soon, Tua.
D/ST
Seattle Seahawks, $3,300 – 6 FD Points
Seattle put a decent performance in week 4. A broken coverage that lead to a 80 yard Deebo Samuel TD hurt the score, but that’s the chance you take paying down for D/ST.
