DraftHustle’s Top DFS Plays of the week for Fanduel and Draftkings

QB

Tua Tagpvailoa – MIA vs Giants

Fanduel - $8,000; Draftkings - $7,100

Tua Tagovailoa has been a top 3 MVP candidate this season leading the Dolphins to being the top offense in 2023, and that trend will continue in week 5. The Dolphins face the New York Giants who have been awful this season. Miami has the highest implied Team Total on this main slate, meaning Tua will light up the score board and power DFS lineups to the top of the leaderboard.

David Montgomery – DET vs Panthers

Fanduel - $8,500; Draftkings - $6,600

David Montgomery has not only fit nicely into the Jamaal Williams role for the Lions, but he has also exceeded expectations. He is coming off a 30 carry, 3 touchdown game last Thursday. Detroit faces the Carolina Panthers in week 5, who are a top 5 matchup for RBs so far this season. Jahmyr Gibbs was added to the injury report on Friday, which is never good. If Jahmyr Gibbs is limited or inactive, David Montgomery would be in line for another hefty workload in week 5.

Garrett Wilson – NYJ vs Broncos

Fanduel - $7,400; Draftkings - $6,000

Garret Wilson hasn’t been the elite WR we know he has the potential to be with a competent quarterback, but he has been solid given the circumstances. He has scored double digit Fanduel points in 3 of 4 games this season, and he gets a great matchup for WRs in week 5. Denver ranks in the top 2 in TD% allowed, yards per target allowed, and catch % allowed to WRs. As long as Zach Wilson continues to perform like a league average QB, Garret Wilson has the potential to provide fantasy value.

Tyler Higbee – LAR vs Eagles

Fanduel - $5,300; Draftkings - $4,100

After a slow start to the season, Tyler Higbee has gotten better recently. He has averaged 8 targets, 5 catches and 68 receiving yards in the last 2 weeks. The Rams face the Eagles in week 5, and the Philadelphia secondary has been subpar so far this season. They have given up the 2nd most Fanduel PPG to TEs, and with a game that has the second highest Vegas Over/Under (50.5), Tyler Higbee has a solid chance to score his first touchdown this year.

New Orleans Saints– vs Patriots

Fanduel - $4,000; Draftkings - $3,000

The New Orleans Saints are the defense of choice for us in week 5. They get to face a New England Patriots offense that has no explosiveness whatsoever. This game only has a Vegas O/U of 40 points, the 2nd lowest of the main slate. Expect New Orleans to keep Mac Jones in check and rack up sacks and turnovers.
