Week 8 DFS Fanduel GPP Plays

DraftHustle’s Top Fanduel Tournament Plays of the week

QB

Matt Ryan – GB ($7,200) vs Panthers

Matt Ryan has finally his act together and started using his weapons (or at least one of them), and it has helped him statistically. He has had at least 40 pass attempts in his last 3 games, and he faces a Panthers secondary who isn’t as good as the numbers suggest. The Falcons only have the 8th highest Vegas implied total, meaning he won’t be a popular play in DFS, thus making him a great tourney play.

RB

Eli Mitchell – SF ($5,800) vs Bears

Eli Mitchell has appeared to have taken over the elusive 49er starting RB role. He is coming off of a 100 yard rushing game against the Colts, and faces the Chicago bears who just got carved up by Leonard Fournette. Mitchell is one of the few starting RBs who below 6k on Fanduel, making a great value option and contrarian play, as most will look to play the reliable high-priced RBs.

WR

DeVonta Smith – ($6,200) vs Lions

Devonta Smith had a solid week one, but he has yet to score a touchdown since then. Luckily, he gets to face the Detroit Lions and their horrific secondary. They give up the most yards per reception to WRs in the league at 10.77. That type of big play ability makes him a great DFS tourney play, and this week’s matchup against the Lions is his best shot to get back into the endzone.

TE

Tommy Sweeney – BUF ($4,300) vs Dolphins

Tommy Sweeney only had one catch in week 6, but he made the most of it by scoring a TD. He will now fill in for Dawson Knox who is out with a broken hand. The Bills have the highest implied Vegas implied total, and that correlates well with TE production. At $4,300 a few catches and a touchdown will give Sweeney the production he needs to crush his value.

D/ST

Chicago Bears – ($3,700) vs San Francisco 49ers

I’m always in search of a punt play at D/ST in DFS, and the Bears are my top choice this week. They pop up with the best value on the main DFS slate. They are without Khalil Mack which will hurt their sack potential, but with currently at a 39 O/U, there isn’t expected to be much production by the 49ers.
