QB
Sam Ehlinger - ($6,000) vs Commanders
Sm Ehlinger is set to take over the starting QB job in Indianapolis. He has the same receiving weapons that Matt Ryan struggled with along with a top 3 RB in Jonathan Taylor. One thing he brings that Matt Ryan couldn’t is mobility. Ehlinger was a runner in his college career, averaging over 450 rushing yards per season at Texas and totaling 33 rushing TDs. A starting QB with mobility at minimum price is every DFS players’ dream, and I love him this week against the Washington Commanders.
RB
Raheem Mostert – MIA ($6,800) vs Lions
Raheem Mostert has snatched the starting RB job away from Chase Edmonds, playing at least 60% of the snaps in the last 4 weeks. He has scored at 18 Fanduel points in 2 of his last three games while scoring a touchdown in 2 of his last 3 as well. In week 8, he faces the Detroit Lions who give up the 2nd most rushing yards per game, 2nd most total yards and 2nd most Fanduel PPG to RBs. This is a dream matchup for Mostert.
WR
A.J. Brown – WR ($8,200) vs Steelers
A.J. Brown made his name by being a big play threat, but he has rarely displayed it this season. I believe week 8 is going to be a breakout week. The Eagles are well rested coming off the bye, and they face the Pittsburgh Steelers who have been awful on defense all year. They give up the most receiving yards per game to WRs, 4th most yards per target, and the 2nd most Fanduel PPG to WRs. He is currently projected at 9% ownership on Fanduel, boosting his GPP appeal.
TE
Juwan Johnson – NO ($5,200) vs Raiders
Matchups is the game when choosing Tight Ends, and Juwan Johnson has a great one this week. He is coming off a 5 catch, 2 TD game in week 7, and faces the Las Vega Raiders in week 8 who give up the 3rd most Fanduel PPG to TEs and have by far the worst TD% allowed to the position. Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry have already been ruled out and Adam Trautman remains questionable, leaving Johnson as a top 2 target along with Chris Olave. If Trautman sits, Juwan is a great GPP play.
D/ST
Los Angeles Rams – ($4,000) vs San Francisco 49ers
The Los Angeles Rams D/ST have been mediocre, but coming back rested after a bye, I like their matchup in week 8. They play their kryptonite in the 49ers, but they will be without Deebo Samuel who has torched the Rams every time they played. The Rams’ defense is getting healthier with DB Troy Hill returning. At $4,000, the price for the Rams in appealing if you can’t afford to pay up for the top D/STs.
