After a long holdout, Dallas Cowboys superstar RB Ezekiel Elliott has returned to the team after he and the team have agreed to a 6 year, $90 million contract extension. The news comes just 2 days before the start of the NFL season and 5 days before the Cowboys' season opener against the New York Giants.
Fantasy Take
Zeke has remained the 1.01 in my rankings thoughout the draft season. I'm all about safety in the 1st round of my fantasy drafts, and you can't get much safer than the 2-time NFL rushing leader who has averaged over 100 rushing yards per game for his 1st three years in the league. Even if you expected him to miss a game or two, hopefully you realized that you were not getting a 0 in your lineup for those weeks, as you could easily just plug in a RB from you bench to start in his place. His offensive line is fully healthy and Zeke is ready to reward the owners who took him in the first round. Unfortunately for those who spent valuable draft capital on Tony Pollard, he will be useless as Zeke will dominate touches, so it's safe to promote him to the waiver wire.
