QB

Justin Fields – CHI vs Cardinals

FanDuel - $8,300; DraftKings - $7,100

Justin Fields’s on field performance has been much better than his fantasy production has been the past few games, but this week he finally gets a good matchup.  He faces the Arizona Cardinals who have been pathetic on defense this season.  They are in the top 3 in Completion percentage allowed, passing yards per attempt allowed, and TD % allowed to QBs this season.  Fields’s ability to rush will help keep his floor high, making him a strong cash game play.

Bijan Robinson – ATL vs Colts

FanDuel - $7,100; DraftKings - $6,300

Like most season long fantasy football players, Bijan Robinson let me down in the 1st round of the fantasy playoffs by scoring less than 1 point, but I am back on the bandwagon for week 16 in DFS.  The Falcons are still in the hunt to win their division, and they will need to lean on their most talented player to win games.  He faces the Indianapolis Colts who are bad at defending RBs. They give up the 3rd most total yards to RBs and the 4th most FanDuel Points to the position. I am anticipating a minimum of 20 touches for Bijan, which will lead to plenty of fantasy production.

Garrett Wilson – NYJ vs Commanders

FanDuel - $7,000; DraftKings - $5,800

Garrett Wilson is my favorite WR play of week 16 strictly because of the matchup.  He faces the Washington Commanders who are the worst of the worst when defending WRs this season.  They rank 1st in receiving yards per game allowed, 1st in TD% allowed, and 1st in yards per target allowed, and 2nd in FanDuel PPG allowed to WRs.  Even with Trevor Siemian starting, Garrett Wilson should lead the Jets WRs in targets, and get plenty of chances to score. 

TE

David Njoku – CLE vs Texans

FanDuel - $6,600; DraftKings - $5,300

David Njoku is having a breakout season, and he has been on an incredible run recently.  In his last 2 games he has averaged 11 targets, 8 receptions, 97.5 receiving yards and scored 3 total TDs.  In Week 16, he faces the Houston Texans who have been subpar at defending the Tight End position the season.  They give up 3rd most receiving yards and the 5th most FanDuel PPG to the TE position.  In a weak TE slate, Njoku is among the safer options and has the floor and upside to be a good play in cash games and GPPs.  

D/ST

New York Jets – vs Commanders

FanDuel - $5,000; DraftKings - $3,100

The only bright spot on the 2023 New York Jets team has been their defense.  They allowed the Jets to stay in playoff contention as long as they did, and they have a great matchup against the Washington Commanders in week 16.  The Commanders are tied for the lowest Vegas implied team total on the slate (16.75), and are giving up 4 sacks a game, so the opportunity for the Jets D/ST to put up numbers is there.
