DraftHustle’s Top DFS Plays of the week for Fanduel and Draftkings
QB
Patrick Mahomes – KC vs Bears
Fanduel - $9,200; Draftkings - $8,300
It only took 3 weeks for Patrick Mahomes to be the top DFS QB play of the week, but here he is. He comes in as the best dollars per point value on both slates. He faces the lowly Chicago Bears who have no interceptions and only 1 sack on the season. Kansas City has the highest implied team total on the slate (30.5 points), is tied for the second highest Vegas Over/Under (48.5points), and they are tied for being the biggest favorites (-12.5). Lock Mahomes in all cash game lineups.

Joshua Kelley – LAC vs Vikings
Fanduel - $6,100; Draftkings - $5,400
Joshua Kelley was a big letdown last week, but we are going right back to him in week 3. He goes from facing the 2nd best run defense in Tennessee to facing a Minnesota defense who just gave up 178 rushing yards to D’Andre Swift. Austin Ekeler is out yet again, so Kelley will continue to be the lead back for the Chargers. He should be low owned due to his poor performance in week 2, making him a good cash game play as well as a solid tourney play.
WR
Justin Jefferson – MIN vs Chargers
Fanduel - $9,700; Draftkings - $9,300
Justin Jefferson has been incredible this season despite not scoring a touchdown. His leading the league in receiving yards per game and is 2nd in targets and catches per game. Jefferson gets the best matchup for WRs in week 3 as he faces the Chargers who give up the most receiving yards per game and tards per target to WRs. He’s pricey, but with a plethora of low priced RBs on the slate, Justin Jefferson can fit pretty comfortably into all lineups.
TE
Travis Kelce – KC vs Bears
Fanduel - $8,000; Draftkings - $7,200
Just like his teammate, Travis Kelce ranks as the top TE in projection and dollars per point on the slate by a good margin. He faces a subpar Bears secondary, and is a week removed from returning from a knee injury. He’s $500 cheaper than last week, so that’s a positive. He’s the only reasonable choice to stack with Mahomes. Boring play, but we are trying to win money here, so no need to get cute.
D/ST
New York Jets– vs Patriots
Fanduel - $3,900; Draftkings - $2,800
An elite defense is the only bright spot for the 2023 New York Jets, and we will take advantage this week. They face the New England Patriots in the game with by far the lowest Vegas O/U (36.5), so it is expected to be a defensive struggle. At sub-$4k and sub -$3k on both sites, they help free up space for elite talent at other positions.
