Week 8 DFS Fanduel Cash Plays

Draft Hustle’s Top Fanduel Cash Plays of the week

QB

Russell Wilson – SEA ($8,400)

The Atlanta Falcons’ defense has become the whipping boys of the league. They have given up the most passing TDs and have the least amount of sacks in the league. Russell Wilson gets to face them this week, in the hometown of his wife’s ex, so there is some extra motivation for him to perform well.

RB

Ty Johnson – DET ($5,200)

Kerryon Johnson was placed on IR after suffering a mysterious knee injury in week 7. Ty Johnson is set to be the “lead” back for the Lions this week. He led the Lions in carries (10) and receptions (4) after Kerryon was knocked out of the game, doubling J.D. McKissic in both catergories. Ty is the closest we an get to this week to a free square, so plug him in.

WR

Deandre Hopkins – HOU ($8,200)

Nuk Hopkins has been less than his normal elite self this season, but they may be about to change. In week 7, Nuk had his first 100 yard receiving game and scored his first touchdown since week 1, and that coincided with Will Fuller being hurt. Fuller is expected to be out for a while with his hamstring injury, so expect Hopkins to get back to his super elite target share, starting against the lowly Raiders secondary, who rank 2nd worst in TD percentage allowed and bottom 5 in Fanduel Points allowed to WRs.

TE

Austin Hooper – NYG ($6,600)

Austin Hooper has been the most consistent pass catcher for the Falcons. Mahomed Sanu was shipped off to the Falcons, so there is even more work for Hooper going forward. He has scored double digit Fanduel Points in 6 of 7 games this season. He was also on the receiving end of the Matt Schaub TD in the week 7 loss to the Rams. Hooper is the perfect TE for cash lineups this week.

D/ST

Los Angeles Rams – ($5,000)

The Los Angeles Rams found their mojo after acquiring Jalen Ramsey from the Jags. They get the Cincinnati Bengals this week in London. The Bengals have given up double digit Fanduel points to opposing D/STs in 4 of 7 games.
