Week 9 DFS Fanduel Tournament Plays

DraftHustle’s Top Fanduel Tournament Game Plays of the Week!

QB

Trevor Lawrence - ($6,800) vs Raiders

Trevor Lawrence had a rough week last week across the pond, but he gets a much better matchup this week against the Raiders. The Raiders rank last in the league in Fanduel PPG allowed and TD% allowed to QBs. The Jaguars’ defense is a little banged up, meaning the Raiders should put up points, which means the Jags will be in catchup mode, which means Trevor Lawrence will have to pass, which will lead to TDs and Fanduel points.

RB

Dalvin Cook – MIN ($8,500) vs Commanders

Dalvin Cook has silently been putting up elite RB numbers over the last month. He has averaged 115 total yards per game over the last 3 games, while having 4 rushing TDs over that time span. The Vikings are favored so I expect Dalvin to get his normal 18 carries and produce on the ground. The Washington Commanders haven't given up the most Receiving TDs to RBs in the league, so I expect him to have a big receiving game to boost him to top 3 status on the week.

WR

Josh Palmer – WR ($6,200) vs Falcons

As usual, the Chargers are among the most injured teams in the league, but it has spread to the offensive side of the ball. With no Keenan Allen and no Mike Williams, Josh Palmer steps to the front of the line as Justin Herbert’s top target for week 9. He had a 12 target, 9 catch game in week 7 prior to the Chargers’ week 8 bye, and he will get that same type of target share this week. The Falcon’s give up the most receiving yards and Fanduel PPG to WRs, and Josh Palmer will benefit.

TE

Evan Engram –JAC ($5,200) vs Raiders

After a slow start to the season, Evan Engram has started to produce like the player the Jaguars thought they were getting when they signed him. He has at least 6 targets, 4 catches, and 40 receiving yards in the last 4 games. The Raiders give up the 3rd most Fanduel PPG to TEs and have the highest TD% allowed to the TE position, so Evan Engram continuing his 1 game TD streak has a strong possibility as well.

D/ST

New England Patriots – ($4,900) vs Indianapolis Colts

The New England Patriots defense isn’t what it used to be, but they do perform like it in good matchups, and that’s what they have in week 9 as they face the Colts. Sam Ehlinger was decent in his debut, but it is still his second NFL start, and the Colts are yet again without Jonathan Taylor, so they are limited. They also have they 2nd lowest implied Vegas Team total on the slate, and this game has the lowest Vegas O/U, so the Pats D/ST will justify the high price with their performance this week.
